New Zealand Hiking Tours

Our hiking tours are based around the Southern Alps with a variety of day hikes, half day hikes and some overnight alpine stays on the Southern Alps Treks tour.
The full-day walking trips are paced to ensure everyone's fitness is catered for and the morning and afternoon tea and lunch stops provide the chance to share experiences of the trail, and enjoy the local bird-life. On the day treks, the options are clearly set out to allow the walking to be expanded or reduced according to fitness and ability.
Even on traveling days, numerous short walks will be undertaken to ensure muscles are stretched and the visual memories refilled. Each nights lodge provides a welcome refuge and a chance to reflect on the beauties experienced. Your guide will impart local knowledge and flora and fauna.

Example: Southern Alps Trek:
A spectacular 7 day itinerary featuring some of the best mountain walking in New Zealand, some incredible heli-hiking with stays in remote but comfortable mountain huts, interspersed with nights at quality lodgings. A mixture of remote untracked terrain and formed tracks of a foot-friendly grade.

Trekking options: Mountain Landscapes [10 days] | Southern Alps Trek [7 days] | Milford Track [5 days] or Routeburn Track [3 days] | Volcanic Plateau [5 days] | Secret South [11 days]

NZ Biking Tours

Our Recreational Cycle tours of New Zealand allow you to do some great biking with a series of three connecting trips. These tours follow the philosophy of "Cycling the Best and Driving the Rest". The guides will adapt the tour to allow strong riders to cover more ground while more relaxed cyclists get to average from 50 - 70kms plus (30 - 45 miles) daily using the support vehicle.

Three of the many not-too-tough bike options: West Coast Escape [6 days] | Otago Family Rail Trail [6 days] | Milford Wilderness [10 days]

On our Serious Cycle Tours, strong riders can challenge themselves by cycling the whole route from start to finish. Recreational cyclists can still enjoy these tours as the support vehicle is used to transport riders to the best cycling sections. Riders of all fitness levels can enjoy these two tours which connect to form a three week journey providing the best of New Zealand's South Island. From 80 - 120 kms plus. ( 50 - 75 miles.)

Three of many serious bike options: Great West Coaster [13 days] | Southern Cross [9 days] | Best of the South [22 days]

And a couple of multi-activity tour options:

Remarkable Adventures is a unique collection of small group, multi-activity New Zealand adventure tours. These are suitable for people of all ages and of average fitness - not necessarily the hardened sportsperson! They are aimed at those sophisticated travellers seeking a guided active Kiwi vacation, which includes the "honey pots" but also steps aside from the mainstream to explore the less visited side of the country.
Our tours provide the intimacy of small groups combined with the opportunity to get off the beaten track. We get to experience Kiwi hospitality and to enjoy the comfort of quality accommodation all under the watchful eye of our knowledgeable, professional guides.

New Zealand Adventure Odyssey trips explore both the North and South Islands, either as a 14 day trip of both islands, 9 day tour of the South Island or 6 days on the North Island, with a variety of exciting half and full day adventures, and each night spent in comfortable motel, lodge or hotel.
[ Sailing, 4 Wheel Driving, Caving, Native Bird Watching, Rafting, Jet boating, Sea Kayaking, Glacier Walking, Hiking, drop you on an active volcano and more!]
