In Moscow it's guided walks around snowy Red Square, Lenin's Tomb, bizarre St Basil's and the golden Kremlin with its labyrinthine complex of palaces, churches and museums, the Moscow Metro and more - with time to wander by yourself if you choose, before catching the sleeper train to St Petersburg.
Peter the Great's spectacular home town is thought by many to be Europe's most glamorous city. In St Pete we have time for guided strolls around the city, including the stunning and expansive Hermitage museum, along famous Nevsky Prospekt and its golden domes with a side trip to Catherine the Great's Palace in Pushkin, Peter and Paul's Fortress, Peter the Great's Summer palace in Petrodvorets, or even a Kirov ballet performance.
