Iceland is one of the most geologically interesting countries in
the world, with a barren and volcanic element which gives it a great
charm, albeit somewhat weird - fantastic waterfalls, geysers, volcanic bubblings and blowouts,
snowy mountains, grassy plains, geothermal pools for bathing and
lava, lava everywhere. And trees? Hardly.
The midnight sun - almost totally light summer nights - is an experience
all of it's own, while pollution and crime are close to zero, traffic jams and crowds do
not exist and just about everyone speaks English.

Land of Ice and Fire [families]:

And there will still be time to see Reykjavik and bathe in Iceland's famous thermal springs!

This short 4 day tour offers a mix of unusual experiences: the opportunity to see the swirling Northern Lights [weather permitting], ride a Superjeep into the surreal volcanic landscape, have a bizarre bathe in the bubbling waters of the Blue Lagoon, or even try a little snowmobiling.

Iceland Volcano Trek [hiking]:
Mount Hekla is the country's liveliest volcano and the wild and blasted 'Behind the Mountains' region is one of the finest trekking areas in Europe.
Our route in the southern highlands involves plenty of adventurous lava field traverses, hot springs and crossing vast glaciers. Baggage is, of course, transported by our support vehicle.
