The Baños de Puritama, 28kms from San Pedro and en route back from the Tatio geysers, one of the many hot, terraced pools.

The Puritama hot springs are a series of sensitively reworked and stepped pools falling through a narrow valley lined with pampas grass. The water is a constant 30C+ and the ambience terrific. This is one of San Pedro's better experiences, even if it a hassle to get there and costs $10 to take the plunge.
