Titchfield Abbey, 13th Century Abbey purported to have been host
to the first performances of some of Shakespeare's plays.

**The Royal Pavilion, 18th C. villa built for King George IV, with
19th C. work by Nash in the Chinese style.
Bateman's, home to the 19th C. author Rudyard Kipling.
Hastings Battlefield and Abbey, site of the famous 1066 battle that
decided the country's future.

an enormous, enigmatic, prehistoric stone circle.
